Program details of 5 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech :
Day 1: Fes , Ifrane , Cedar Forest , Midelt , Middle Atlas , Ziz Valley , Merzouga: 460 km
After breakfast, our driver guide will greet you at your hotel and begin your private 5 Days tour from Fes to Marrakech. We’ll depart Fes and go via the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first destination will be in Ifrane, which is known as “Morocco’s Switzerland.” The second stop will be at the Cedar Forest near Azrou, where we can see barbarian monkeys. Then continue on to Midelt, the famed apple town, where we will have free time for lunch.
Later in the afternoon, we’ll drive to the Sahara desert, passing via little Berber settlements and the beautiful Ziz Valley near Errachidia city, on our way to Tizi N’talghoumte pass (1907m). After that, we’ll travel to Merzouga through Aoufous and Erfoud, where we’ll have dinner and stay in a small hotel or Riad.
Day 2 : Desert Tour , Merzouga Lake , Khamliya Village , Nomad Family , Camel Trekking and Overnight in Desert Camp: 40 km
We will begin our excursion around the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes after breakfast. We’ll visit several interesting spots in the vicinity, like Merzouga Lake (which isn’t constantly full of water) to witness the different types of birds (ducks and flamingos) that come to dwell in this lake, especially in the spring. We’ll stop by Khamliya hamlet to listen to African music (Gnawa) performed by people who are originally from the African continent, then continue on our off-road desert excursion to the black desert behind the Erg-Chebbi sand dunes. We’ll go to an abandoned village with working mineral fossils, then drive to a nomadic Berber family to learn about their way of life.
We’ll return to Khamlia for a delectable lunch at a local eatery. You will begin your Camel Trekking Adventure in the afternoon, crossing the gorgeous unique orange colored sand dunes to desert camp. The fantastic feeling of feeding your soul while watching the beautiful sunset from the middle of the dunes. Dinner and nights will be in camp, with music playing and the opportunity to play in the sand dunes under a million stars.
Day 3 : Merzouga , Rissani Town , Tinghir City , Todra Valley and Gorges , Boumalne Dades , Dades Valley: 255 km
The next day, get up early for a beautiful sunrise, then return to Merzouga village by camel or vehicle for a departure to Rissani town after breakfast and shower.
We’ll take a stroll through the area’s most famous, traditional, and largest market, looking for locally manufactured goods and art crafts. Rissani is best visited on the following days: Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday.
These three days are souk days, so it’s a nice time for folks in the desert to go shopping. Later, we’ll go to Tinghir via the Tafilalt Oasis, where we’ll be able to examine the old irrigation system.
We’ll arrive in Tinjdad town and have some free time for lunch. Then continue to Tinghir to see the breathtaking views of Todra Valley and walk along Todra Gorge with its orange towering cliffs; the gorges of Todra Gorge are about 1,000 feet deep, and it is a popular climbing destination.
We’ll finish the day in Boumalne Dades, which has a lush green valley. Dinner and accommodation at a hotel or Riad.
Day 4 : Boumalne Dades and Gorges , Kalaat M’Gonna City , Rose Valley , Skoura , Kasbah Ameridil , Ouarzazate: 152 km
After breakfast, we depart for Kalaat M’Gonna and Ouarzazate via the Dades gorges and Dades valley. The path through Dades Valley is known as the Thousand Kasbah Route, and it offers excellent photo opportunities. Then we’ll stop in Kalaat M’Gonna, “the rose city,” to buy rosewater as we journey through the Land of Roses.
We’ll continue on via the oasis of Skoura, stopping to see the Kasbah of Ameridil. In the afternoon, we will arrive in Ouarzazate and stop to enjoy the magnificence of Taourirte Kasbah before checking into your hotel. Dinner and overnight will be in an Ouarzazate hotel or Riad.
Day 5 : Ouarzazate , Atlas Studios , Kasbah Ait Benhaddou , Ounila Valley , Telouet Kasbah , Atlas Mountains , Marrakech 197 km
After breakfast, we will visit world renowned cinema studio (Atlas studios) in Ouarzazate. Our trip continues to the ancient Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. This fortified walled city was built right on the caravan path between Marrakech and the Sahara and was once a thriving trading post during the 12th century.
6 Kasbahs and a small number of dwellings are located within the high mud walls. Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia are two films in which Ait Benhaddou has appeared. Later, we’ll travel to Marrakech via the gorgeous Ounila valley, passing through Berber settlements on our way to Telouet hamlet, where we’ll explore Telouet Kasbah, a remarkable site to behold erected in the 18th and 19th centuries for the strong el Glaoui family. The Kasbah, with its vivid mosaics and red stucco, was strategically located on the caravan route.
Take a break there for lunch at a nearby eatery. Then travel through the Atlas Passes, stopping along the way to take in the spectacular vistas of the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N’tichka Pass (2260m). We will arrive in Marrakech in the evening, drop you off at your hotel, and conclude your 5 Days Tour from Fes to Marrakech.
